There’s a new support hero in the Land of Dawn, and she’s out to give Angela and Estes a run for their money. Floryn, The Budding Hope, specializes in Poke and Guard with high skill effects combining both heal and damage. Floryn fights with her companion Dew, which she can cast to attack enemies and heal allies. What makes Floryn unique is that her passive can grant an extra piece of equipment to an ally without taking up an equipment slot. Is she the best healer in the game now? Let’s find out.
How to win in MLBB using Floryn
- Make wise use of her passive to grant extra equipment to a teammate. Choosing the right ally will be essential to optimize this feature. We recommend giving it to a jungler at the start of the game as Dew’s Lantern grants the receiver +250HP and will reveal its true power once it evolves at 1000 stacks.
- When Dew evolves, the receiver of the shared item gets an extra +8% Physical Attack, +8%Magic Power, and +500 HP. We suggest giving it to an ally with the highest physical and magic attack. Think Esmeralda, Natan, or Bane.
- Try to max out your passive stacks as fast as possible to get better stats from Dew. Hitting enemies with your abilities will speed up the process.
- Fleeting Time should be your core item (and must be built immediately) to reduce the cooldown of your Ultimate.
- Floryn’s skill set comprises both damage and heal. Take advantage of her First Skill to attack enemies and heal nearby allies (can be triggered on jungle monsters too). You and your allies also get more healing when low in HP.
- Her Second Skill not only damages enemies but also has a delayed stun effect which you can use to catch fleeing enemies or escape sticky situations. When Dew is evolved, the explosion radius also increases.
- Always pay attention to the map to 1.) check the location of allies and their HP and 2.) locate enemies. Floryn’s Ultimate heals allies twice regardless of distance and can also damage enemies around the allied heroes and slows them each time the healing takes effect.
Floryn has the typical basic skill setup of 3 Active Skills and 1 Passive Skill. According to her in-game details, Floryn’s specialty is Poke / Guard. Her passive grants an extra piece of equipment to a chosen ally.
Floryn Skills / Abilities
Dew’s Lantern can slightly increase Floryn’s attributes and evolve at full energy stacks (1000). When at the Fountain, Floryn can share the Lantern’s power with an allied hero, granting them an extra piece of equipment that does not take up equipment slots. Cooldown: 30s. The equipment will also evolve at full energy stacks. Floryn can accelerate the energy accumulation speed by hitting enemies with her skills. Floryn will never sell the Lantern.
Floryn tosses an Energy Seed at a designated enemy, dealing 220 (+150% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage. Healing Fruits will then spawn and bounce to nearby allies, restoring 50 (+65% Total Magic Power) plus 5% of their lost HP for them (80% of the amount when cast on a non-hero enemy). Evolved Lantern: The attack range is increased to 125%.
Floryn casts a blob of energy in a designated direction, dealing 225 (+90% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage to the enemy hit. The energy will explode upon hitting an enemy or reaching the maximum range, dealing an extra 135 (+54% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage to enemies in the area and stunning them for 1s. Evolved Lantern: The explosion radius is increased to 125%.
Floryn resonates with Dew’s power, restoring 360 (+40%Total Magic Power) HP for all allied heroes 2 times (ignores distance). It also deals 300 (+60% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage to enemies around the allied heroes and slows them by 30% for 0.8s each time the healing takes effect. Evolved Lantern: Removes HP Regen and Shield Reduction effects on allied heroes and makes them immune to the effects for 3s each time the healing takes effect.
