Zenless Zone Zero makes a splash in Version 2.1 with a sea of new content! Spook Shack makes their debut with Ukinami Yuzuha entering the ZZZ roster in Phase 1, and Alice Thymefield set to challenge Physical teams with her fencing skills in Phase 2. The patch also features new W-Engines and some summer-themed events that will take Proxies to a tropical wonderland of surfing, fishing, and mysterious beach shenanigans. New Agents: Yuzuha and Alice
In Version 2.1, Proxies will finally meet Spook Shack, an Inter-Knot forum obsessed with the supernatural. Unlike the more corporate or combat-oriented factions, Spook Shack comprises curious internet sleuths and paranormal enthusiasts, and their first playable character, Yuzuha, embodies that with her otherworldly team buffs.

Yuzuha serves as a Physical-Support unit specializing in buffing Anomaly teams. Her kit revolves around the “Sweet Scare” mechanic that, when applied to enemies, grants a significant ATK and DMG boost to your team. She also ramps up the team’s Anomaly buildup, making her an essential pick for players leaning into Anomaly or Disorder-heavy team comps.
On the other hand, Alice is a Physical-Anomaly main DPS who builds up Blade Etiquette stacks through combat. With enough stacks, she can unleash a devastating Polarized Assault that deals fixed Assault DMG and triggers Disorder when paired with the right teammates. She works best with Anomaly or Support units, enabling her to generate Blade Etiquette stacks faster.
Yuzuha’s banner will run alongside Hoshimi Miyabi’s rerun, and A-Ranks Piper Wheel and Billy Kid will accompany them until August 6, 2025. Alice will follow in Phase 2, from August 6 to September 3, 2025.
New W-Engine: Metanukimorphosis
To maximize Yuzuha’s full potential, Phase 1 adds her signature W-Engine to the roster: the Metanukimorphosis. Tailored for Support Agents, this high-tech W-Engine unlocks improved Anomaly synergy that enhances your team’s overall DPS. A base ATK of 713 and a 60% boost in Energy Regen ensure that your rotation is never interrupted.
The passive “Exquisitely Ingenious” grants a hefty +30 Anomaly Mastery every time the wielder’s EX Special Attack or Ultimate deals Physical DMG and grants Anomaly Proficiency after an Aftershock hits. This makes it a cornerstone for any Anomaly-centric team, especially where Yuzuha pulls the strings.
New Bangboo: Miss Esme
Say hello to Miss Esme, the latest S-Rank Physical Bangboo! She supports your team by generating healing or Energy recovery items mid-battle, depending on your Agents’ HP. When paired with Spook Shack members, her recovery effects become even stronger. Her Chain Attack deals solid Physical DMG while boosting Anomaly buildup, making her a strong pick for Anomaly teams that lack a little sustain.
Miss Esme is now permanently available on the Outstanding Partner Bangboo Channel. Before pulling, you can select her as your guaranteed target; switching targets won’t reset your pity.
New Events
Tales of Midsummer Dreams is Zenless Zone Zero 2.1’s flagship summer event from July 17 to September 3. Set in Failume Heights, it will see Proxies managing a tropical resort while teaming up with Alice and Yuzuha to unravel a new mystery. Expect lighthearted mini-games like surfing, sharpshooting, and fishing, all tied into a progression system that rewards you with new outfits, Polychromes, Character materials, and more!
The Legend of the Marvelous Fish Stall is a quirky side event that features a flustered Bangboo who claims to be a “Sea Wizard.” Help him through fun, dialogue-rich encounters and quick missions from July 22 to August 11 to win rewards.
