Top video game archers that you should know

Who’s the deadliest bow and arrow user for you?

Using a bow instead of a gun (as a ranged weapon) is a whole new ballgame. Whereas the former requires pulling the trigger, the latter demands concentration and patience. Plus, you have to practice good positioning to get that fatal shot. All these factors make archery a different beast. We’ve listed these notable bow and arrow users (based on popular games at Codashop) that you should try in the game.

By the way, did you know that the Hawkeye series is fast approaching on Disney+ in a couple of months? Who’s excited about that? Consider this ‘band of archers’ post as Clint Barton’s welcoming committee.

Ashe (League of Legends: Wild Rift)

Ashe

If you’re talking about bow and arrow, there’s no way you can forget the Frost Archer from Freljord, Ashe. This marksman/support commands ancestral magic to wield her bow made of True Ice. If you read her lore, you will find that Ashe is more remarkable beyond her archery skills. She displayed a huge heart to balance her hunger for vengeance and desire to bring peace to her tribe. With Frost Shot and Ranger’s Focus, Ashe turns from a basic shooter to a raging damage dealer. To become a great archer, learn from Ashe that focus and tempo are key.

Miya (Mobile Legends)

Miya

Mobile Legends’ Moonlight Archer, Miya, is another popular household name. This elf only dreams of a peaceful life, but with the continuous expansion of the abyssal demons, she has dedicated her life to protect her people no matter what. Miya’s passive skill plus Moon Arrow,  once fully stacked, grants her additional damage against enemies. She also has invisibility as her ultimate, allowing her to remove all debuffs right away. MLBB’s poster girl is a solid archer and can help beginners crawl out of Elite/Master rank and climb to Epic.

By the way, Mobile Legends is celebrating its 5th Anniversary this September, and you can get Miya’s new skin, Moon Priestess, for free by participating in exciting in-game events.

Sova (VALORANT)

Sova

“Wherever they run, I will find them.” This Initiator from Russia is another versatile archer who tracks and eliminates enemies with ruthless efficiency and precision. Sova makes excellent use of his custom bow to scout and take down enemies. His signature ability lets him fire a Recon Bolt which activates upon collision, revealing the location of nearby enemies caught in the line of sight of the bolt. And to punctuate it, Sova’s ultimate lets him kill enemies using three long-ranged arrows that can pierce through any wall. With Sova, you can run but can’t hide.

Fischl (Genshin Impact)

Fischl

Fischl, the Prinzessin der Verurteilung, is a 4-star Electro bow user and a top-tier support character in Genshin Impact. Together with her trusty raven Oz, the two love to take on daring adventures and become rising stars together. Fischl’s charged attack from her bow deals immense Electro Damage. Her Elemental Skill summons Oz, who shoots out electro damage repeatedly at nearby enemies, while her Elemental Burst allows her to take on Oz’s form to strike enemies with lightning.

Venti (Genshin Impact)

Venti

Rounding up the list is another archer from Genshin Impact. Venti is an Anemo archon who takes the form of a bard, hence his title Windborne Bard. This 5-star character is the king of crowd control as his Elemental Skill lets him launch opponents into the air while dealing AoE Anemo Damage. His Elemental Burst creates a huge Stormeye that sucks and damages both objects and opponents. Watching Venti fire an arrow to activate his talents is simply mesmerizing.
