What is Essence Transfer in Diablo Immortal?
Essence Transfer is related to enchanting items. This mechanic introduces two things at once. First, the idea that an already enchanted item can be salvaged for materials and its Legendary perks (extraction), and second the concept of transferring the perks of a Legendary item to another item (inheritance). So let us explain these two things in detail.
Extraction (called Extract in the game) is literally extracting the enchanted item’s Legendary perks and converting the base item to salvaged material for crafting. There is also a chance for Gems to be extracted from this process. This requires 3,000 gold, so it is quite an expensive process, given what it does. So, choose wisely with which Legendary perk(s) you want to extract and inherit.
Inheritance (called Inherit in the game) is the process of transferring the Legendary perks to another item in your inventory. This makes the item change its perks and its name.
How to Essence Transfer
To start Essence Transfer, you must find Zamina in her spot in Westmarch. Talk to her about Essence Transfer, and you will see a screen that shows you the two options (Extract and Inherit). You should Extract first before choosing to Inherit. This is to get the Legendary perks from the item you do not need anymore (Extract) and to transfer those perks to another item you have (Inherit)). As already mentioned, Extract costs 3,000 gold, while Inherit is free.
Why Is Essence Transfer Important?
This mechanic provides a good way to make your build stronger.
