Free Fire is a mobile battle royale in which character selection is crucial since each character has their unique set of powers. With their unique set of talents and limitations, each character is valuable in a variety of scenarios.
This makes it critical to unlocking new characters in Free Fire, but this is only sometimes achievable because a player must grind the game for quite some time to get a chosen character.
While this was true before the introduction of the ‘OB33 Update,’ character acquisition has been significantly easier after then. This is because Free Fire players who do not spend any money in the game may now claim all of the premium characters through the newly implemented LINK system.
Guide on How to Unlock all Characters Using Link System
Having many Free Fire characters unlocked can significantly benefit any player since each one is ideally suited for different scenarios. Not to mention, each squad may perform effectively with a different collection of characters; thus, it is always advantageous to keep them all around. The Link System allows free-to-play players to unlock characters without paying for them.
All you need to do is:
- Open the game.
- Go to the Character screen.
- Select the character that you want for free.
- Select the Link option, which is located in the upper right corner.
- Complete the Challenges or pay Gold Coins.
- Claim your character for free once you have reached the required Link points.
Do note that you can only link one character at a time. If you wish to link to another character despite already having one linked, you need to use the “Relink” option. However, you will lose your current Link points.
If you intend to pay Gold Coins, you can only use that option five times a day. The number of Gold Coins required to claim Link points will also increase after each draw. It goes as follows:
- 100 points – 200 gold (first draw)
- 100 points – 400 gold (second draw)
- 100 points – 600 gold (third draw)
- 100 points – 1000 gold (fourth draw)
- 100 points – 1500 gold (fifth draw)
You will need a total of 3,700 Gold every day just to earn 500 Link points. Since you can earn 2000 Link points daily, unlocking a free character will take about a week.
