Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) has unveiled its latest hero: Suyou, an Assassin/Fighter with the ability to switch between a mortal and immortal form, allowing him to shift from muscling enemies on the front lines to executing quick and flashy combos alone. In this guide, we’ll cover Suyou’s abilities and playstyle and share tips on the best item builds to help you maximize your damage potential. Enjoy!
Hero Background
Suyou, the Mask of the Immortal, is the last surviving exorcist from Zhu’an in the Cadia Riverlands. He carries the legendary mask and trident of Nuo, the immortal deity his clan once served, and wanders the mortal plane to purge evil and guide his people into enlightenment.
Role in the Game
He is a versatile assassin-fighter who can carry out quick and lethal ambushes in one second and square up with the most fearsome fighters in the next. This is all thanks to his Passive, Transient Immortal, which allows him to alternate between his mortal and immortal forms to gain various stat buffs. Suyou is the perfect hero for players who don’t want to be tied up to a single role and can freely adapt based on what the team needs in the current situation.

How to win with Soyou
- Know your enemy! Use his mortal form when ganking squishy but highly mobile heroes, then switch to his immortal form when faced with tankier ones.
- His third skill’s Hold version, is a long-ranged projectile that takes much time to charge. Save it to snuff out escapees.
- The increased Basic Attack damage and damage reduction helps a lot in the late game, where even Mages are hard to kill. Remember to switch to his immortal form whenever you’re in range.
- Switch back to his mortal form if you need to chase someone or disengage from a team fight.
Zhuxin's Abilities
Suyou’s Passive allows him to perform “Tap” and “Hold” versions of his skills. Using the “Tap” version of the skill will put him in his mortal form, granting him extra movement speed and attack speed. On the other hand, performing a “Hold” version of a skill will put him in his immortal form, gaining extra Basic Attack damage and 20% damage reduction.
- Tap: Suyou throws his blade, dealing Physical Damage to enemies in its path. Suyou then blinks forward, catches the blade, and slashes in the opposite direction.
- Hold: Suyou charges in the target direction, dealing Physical Damage to enemies in his path. Enemies hit will be stunned for 0.6 seconds.
- Tap: Suyou sweeps a small fan-shaped area in front of him, dealing damage to enemies.
- Hold: Suyou channels Nuo’s powers and cleaves enemies in front of him three times. The final strike recovers HP for Suyou.
- Tap: Suyou glides backward and swings his weapon in the target direction, dealing Physical Damage to enemies in a rectangular area.
- Hold: Suyou shoots a deadly arrow in the target direction, increasing its reach the more he charges it.
Best Build for Soyouu
Suyou’s high burst damage puts him in the Jungler role, helping the team secure early-game objectives like the Turtle and the Red and Blue buffs. In this build, we’re picking items, emblems, and battle spells to enhance his efficiency in the jungle further.
Best Emblem
- Thrill – Increased Adaptive Attack
- Seasoned Hunter – Increased damage to Lord and Turtle
- War Cry – Increased Sustain Damage
Best Battle Spell
Retribution is a Jungler’s best friend for a reason. It deals a burst of True Damage to creeps and minions, perfect for securing the last hits on Molten Fiends and Thunder Fenrirs. It also increases your farming efficiency against creeps, which will be your primary source of Gold in the early game. Execute is another good option for those who want to prioritize ganking with his assassin skills.
Best Item Build
- Ice Hunter’s Tough Boots
- Hunter Strike
- War Axe
- Blade of Despair
- Queen’s Wings
- Athena’s Shield
War Axe and Hunter Strike are must-haves when playing as Suyou. Their overall stat boosts and passives perfectly match Suyou’s skill-based playstyle, so prioritize building these as soon as possible. You can add a Blade of Despair to enhance his damage output, then add in Queen’s Wings and Athena’s Shield to solidify his presence on the front lines.
The dual form mechanic makes Suyou a slightly complex character that leaves room for skill expression and mastery. He’s also a treat for aspiring Assassin players who find its hero pool a little too squishy for their taste, as his immortal form stirs him up as one of the most enduring heroes in the Fighter pool today.
