Introducing the Night Market
VALORANT has three ways to obtain Gun Skins: the in-game Store where bundles and previously-released skins are available. There is also the Battle Pass which has skins exclusive to the current Act. Lastly, there is the periodic Night Market where previously-released skins are available at a discounted price. In this article, we will guide you through the Night Market and suggest what to watch out for.
What is the Night Market?
The VALORANT Night Market is a once-per-Act mini-event that features six previously-released skins from the Skin Bundles at a discounted price. The limitations are that it is random and unique to each player. And since the Night Market skins are randomized, you will never know what to get and you can not re-roll once you know what’s available for you. Another limitation is there are skins that are not available in the Night Market. The gun and melee weapon skins from the VALORANT Champions 2022 skin bundle, for example, are not available in the Night Market. In addition, no two skins in the Night Market are from the same skin bundle. For example, the Recon Phantom and the Recon Ghost will not show up in your Night Market at the same time. It’s either the Phantom or the Ghost.
When is the Night Market and How to Access It
The Night Market is available just before the start of the new Act. Historically, it is online 3 weeks before the Act ends with a week left before a new Act begins. For Episode 5, Act 3, the estimated time the Night Market will show up, based on the remaining days for the Act – determined by the Battle Pass duration – is late November to early December. The duration of the Night Market varies but it stays on for at least 2 weeks. To know when the Night Market is online, the VALORANT home screen usually notifies players with a card on the upper right-hand side of the screen, just before the settings menu button, and in the home screen where news and information are shown on the left side. Skins Available in the Night Market
Each skin available in the Night Market is divided into three Editions: Select, Deluxe, Premium. Select and Deluxe Edition skins have no finishing animation and additional visual effects which distinguishes these two skin editions from Premium. The price range is also different, with Select being the cheapest (average of 2900 VALORANT Points) and Premium as the most expensive (average of 7100 VALORANT Points). As mentioned, there are skins not available in the Night Market and likely not available after their feature on the Store elapses. These Exclusive Edition skins are usually available for a limited time coinciding with special events like the VALORANT Champions Tour and the Sentinels of Light special crossover. The list below shows the complete list of available skins in the Night Market from the previous skin bundles. Gun and Melee Weapon skins released under these bundles will be featured.

Why We Look Forward to the Night Market
For those looking for really great skins but do not have enough VALORANT Points in their account could wait for their favorite skin to arrive at the Night Market since the discounted price of the skins could reach up to 50%. This is what I think is the biggest draw of the Night Market: it is basically “skins for less”. Getting the skins you want will take a lot of patience, though. I always look forward to the Ion Phantom, Ion Sheriff, and Ion Operator skins in my Night Market, and so far, in my 2 years of playing, not even one of them showed up.
A lot of players wait for the Prime Vandal and the Glitchpop Vandal because of the sound and finisher visual; in addition to them contributing slightly to the player’s performance. Watch out for these skins as well. If you’re into the realism of the guns, the Infantry and Recon skins will be something to look forward to. I remember having the Infantry Guardian and Recon Ghost in my Night Market at the same time. The Oni Phantom is another fan favorite along with the Magepunk Ghost, Magepunk Spectre, and the Reaver Vandal. Meanwhile, the Sovereign Ghost and Sovereign Marshal are among the skins I personally recommend. For Operator, the common ones that players have, other than those from the Exclusive Edition skins, are the Spline and Reaver.
