With the release of VALORANT’s Patch 6.08, Bind has made a comeback. It was previously removed from the game’s active map pool upon the release of Lotus. Similar to what was done with Split, Riot has made several changes to the map. These chances have brought notable impact on the gameplay, with the possibility of resulting into a new meta. Some of the changes include a relocation of the teleporter exits, adjustments to the sites, and more.
Here’s everything you need to know.
A Site Changes
In the updated version of Bind, the location of the Teleporter Exit outside A Bath has been altered. Instead of being close to the Attackers’ spawn, it is now situated near the A Bath entrance. The previous location of the Teleporter exit still exists, featuring an elevated platform with a shop that has a half-closed shutter.
The entrance and interior of A Bath have been widened, providing more space for players to navigate and clear off angles. Additionally, the exit of A Bath leading to A Site has also been widened, potentially changing the dynamic of gameplay in that area.
Upon entering the A site, players will notice that the radianite boxes have been rearranged. This area now provides more cover for the planting, but the risk getting wallbanged remains since the boxes are made of radianite.
Additionally, a barrel has been added to the wall near the Tower, which players can use to stand on. If you want a quick peek into A Cubby above the radianite boxes,, this would be a nice position to take. Sage mains can also place a wall here for extra boost.
The back wall of A site has been adjusted; it’s now flattened with little room to hide from enemies coming from Defender Spawn.
B Site Changes
Moving on to the B site, the doorway that links the site and B Hall has been expanded as well. Taking control of B Elbow will now be more challenging as there is a gap available to shoot or throw projectiles such as Sova’s Shock Darts or Raze’s Grenades. If you’re feeling confident, a Sage wall boost on the right spot might be enough to let you peek into the wall for a free kill.
Players can see these changes with the release of Episode 6: Act 3 in both Unranked and Competitive Modes. It’s important to adapt quickly to these new changes to score more wins. With the wider doors, it makes it harder for Defenders or flankers to bunny hop to the other side without getting hit with a few bullets. It also gives players more room to check for angles. Meanwhile, the changes in A Site allow for more cover, sneaky peeks, and less cover.
