Eat your enemies whole with Barats, the newest tank in Mobile Legends
Our mighty tank users are in for a big treat with the newest hero in town, dino rider Barats. Together with his dragon lizard companion Detona, this mischievous duo are out to wreak havoc and laughter on the battlefield.
As the second 2-in-1 character, this tank/fighter hybrid will give Popol and Kupa a serious run for their money with its massive damage and CC capabilities. One thing’s for sure though, size matters when you use Barats who has a massive appetite for.. Other heroes!
Being the most-tanky hero in ML with AOE damage, Barats is a shoo-in for the new meta. Dominate the battlefield easily by hounding damage dealers while guarding your team. His passive skill that stacks up allows him to grow insanely big, making him even more intimidating during battle. OP-wise, we’ll likely to see him as an automatic target for banning in ranked matches.

SKILLS
Passive Skill – Big Guy
Every time Barats and Detona deal damage to a target, Detona earns 1 stack of Big Guy for 12 seconds, good for up to 25 stacks. Each stack makes Detona grow in size, boosting him with extra defense and resilience. Big Guy also increases Barats’ basic attack at 16 stacks with slow effect.
Make him last long in battle and you’ll make him tankier and more difficult to be subdued. Just remember to take note of your stacks to make full use of his passive.
First Skill – So-Called Teamwork
Detona spits contaminated oil in the fan-shaped area in front of him, dealing 60 / 80 / 100 / 120 / 140 / 160 (+8% Max HP) Physical Damage to enemies within the area, plus 30% slow effect for 1s. Barats then drops the firecracker onto the contaminated oil from his bag and ignites it, causing 120 / 160 / 200 / 240 / 280 / 320 (+170% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage to enemies within the area.The AOE of his first skill will increase when his passive reaches 6, 11, 16, and 21 stacks.
So-Called Teamwork is Barat’s more effective skill to clear waves so we recommend to max this first. Create a 1-2 punch with his second ability and you’ll dominate the fight.
Second Skill – Missile Expert
Barats launches a missile to the designated area. Once it lands, a blast of flame spouts out from the rear of the missile, dealing Physical Damage to enemies in a straight line. It also pushes enemies towards Barats’ direction at a certain distance.
This one’s your go-to crowd control trick. Activate it to your preferred direction and even manage the distance. As discussed, pair Missile Expert with So-Called Teamwork to deal considerable damage on poor enemies.
Ultimate – Detona’s Welcome
Detona locks in on an enemy hero. If the target doesn’t leave Detona’s hunting range within the next 1.5 seconds, Deona will devour the target and suppress it for 1s. While the enemy is devoured, Barats cannot move but is immune to crowd control and can change direction.
Detona then spits the target out, dealing 120 / 160 / 200 (+70% Total Physical Attack) (+1.2% Max HP) Physical Damage. If the target is knocked into other enemy heroes or walls, the target and enemy heroes that it was knocked into will take 150 / 200 / 250 (+80% Total Physical Attack) (+1.5% Max HP) Physical Damage and be stunned for 1s. When his passive reaches 6, 11, 16 and 21 stacks, the damage of this skill will be increased by 25%. Each upgrade of this skill will make Detona gain 5 / 10 / 15 stacks of his passive instantly after returning.
For his ulti, you need to keep certain things in mind – eating your target, control while devouring and spitting the target in the most strategic area. Timing and mobility will be critical if you want to catch agile heroes and those with good blink skills. When you spot an enemy nearing your turret during a team fight, surprise him with this tongue-grabbing maneuver. Immediately spit the poor soul inside your turret to seal his doom.
