PUBG M Version 2.4

Tencent welcomes the Year of the Rabbit with the 2.4 update, which went live last January 6, 2023. The Martial Showdown update features new gadgets, vehicles, map updates, and weapon adjustments that will help players go off with a bang. Here’s a quick run-through to get you more excited:

Key updates

PUBGM 2.4 Update

New gameplay

Martial Arts Arenas will spawn randomly on the map. In it, Warriors can loot various items that introduce fun new ways to outplay their opponents and snag that Chicken Dinner. The Arena also features the Back For Honor board which allows revived teammates to seek revenge on their killers.

Gear front updates

The 2.4 update brings back the Black Market and adds two new skills while tweaking existing skills to enhance the player experience.

  • New skill – Player Launcher: launches you into the air for easy relocation.
  • New skill – Tactical Camouflage: lets you equip a camo suit that significantly increases climbing and swimming speed.
  • Skill merge – Supply Scan and Lucky Backpack: players can still use all of the features of both skills except for Lucky Backpack’s increased carrying capacity.
  • Skill merge – Playzone Analysis and Vehicle Air Drop: Vehicle Air Drop now also reveals the next play zone and air drop locations.
  • Skill adjustment – Trace: marks enemies hit by grenades and Molotov cocktails and shows their remaining health.

Erangel map updates

  • Hang gliders will now spawn in some high-altitude areas.
  • Galata Tower now has an elevator.

Metro Royale updates

The Metro Royale game mode was first made available in November 2020 as part of the PUBG Mobile x Metro Exodus collaboration. The mode’s primary goal is to take as much loot to the extraction points without getting killed by NPCs, bosses, and other players.

Metro Royale returns with the new Misty Port map, item adjustments, new weapons, and Fabled equipment that buffs players.

Weapon and vehicle updates

  • New weapon – Honey Badger: spawns in Erangel, Sanhok, and Livik. Has a high firing rate and is ideal for close-range fights.
  • QBZ, FAMAS, UZI, PP-19, and UMP-45 are receiving buffs.
  • Firearm animations while riding a motorcycle are improved.
  • New vehicle – 2-seat bike: passenger can use one-handed firearms.
  • Bicycle sheds will now spawn 2-seat bikes and will be present in Erangel, Miramar, and Livik.

Tencent sure is starting the year strong with an update full of quality-of-life improvements, new socialization options, and even security features to support their growing playerbase.
