Genshin Impact Reputation feature is a progression system you’ll encounter in every nation. It rewards players with gadgets, wind gliders, and name cards, among many others. To unlock it, Travellers need to reach Adventure Rank 25 and complete the following quests:
Mondstadt
- Archon Quest Prologue: Act I – The Outlanders Who Caught the Wind
- World Quest: Knight of the Realm
Liyue
- Archon Quest Chapter I: Act II – Farewell, Archaic Lord
- World Quest: Ministry Missions
Inazuma
- Archon Quest Chapter II: Act I – The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia
- World Quest: The Commission’s Commission
Sumeru
- Archon Quest Chapter III: Act II – The Morn a Thousand Roses Brings
- World Quest: Corps of Thirty Recruitment
Maxing out City Reputation can take months, so I recommend doing all the tasks you can find in one particular region before moving on to the next. This will also give you time to push the region’s Exploration Progress to 100% and get more materials and Primogems.
How to progress City Reputation
Each region’s City Reputation has ten levels and can be progressed by obtaining Reputation EXP from Region Exploration, Quests, Bounties, and Requests.
- You can get 100 Reputation EXP each from reaching 20%, 40%, and 60% Region Exploration. Region Exploration can be progressed by opening chests and wooden crates and by levelling up your Statues of the Seven.
- Archon Quests give 100 Reputation EXP each, while World Quests give 20.
- Bounties and Requests are Weekly Quests you can unlock by reaching Reputation Level 2. You can only do three Bounties and three Requests per week for a total of 420 Reputation EXP.
Reputation NPC locations
As of this writing, there are 4 Reputation NPCs:
- Hertha from Mondstadt: Teleport to Mondstadt City’s middle waypoint (near the two Fatui Diplomats), then walk down the stairs on your left.
- Ms. Yu from Liyue Harbor: Teleport to Liyue Harbor’s Southeast waypoint and make your way towards the harbor. Ms. Yu is located near the warehouse.
- Madarame Hyakubei from Kamisato Estate: Look for him on the left side as soon as you enter the Kamisato Estate.
- Effendi from Sumeru City: Teleport to the East waypoint of Sumeru City and jump down into the Corps of Thirty headquarters (don’t forget to activate your wind glider!)
City Reputation rewards
The Reputation System rewards Travellers with various items and features to enrich their adventures. This makes the feature a fun and satisfying activity to complete, especially if you’re a cosmetics collector or a hardcore adventurer looking to take your exploration skills to new heights:
- Wind gliders
- Name cards
- Recipes
- Furnishing blueprints
- Gadgets
- Resonance stones
- Treasure compasses
Some of the most useful gadgets in Genshin Impact are locked behind the City Reputation feature. Examples are the NRE, which lets you heal with food items in the middle of combat, and the Condensed Resin, which allows for more efficient farming.
