Hoyoverse has introduced another 5-star character into their ever-growing roster. Dehya, the famous “Flame-Mane” mercenary among the Eremites, brings her unique martial arts skills and talents to the fray. In this guide, we’ll talk about the best weapons, artifacts, and team compositions you can use on Dehya.
Dehya Spotlight
The “Flame-Mane” Dehya is considered a legend among the Eremites for her strength and passion. She was first introduced as Dunyarzad’s bodyguard, watching over the young lady as she tried to revive the Sabzeruz Festival. It was even revealed later on the quest that Dehya sold her claymore and anonymously donated the Mora to help out with the festival.
Talents
Normal Attack: Gold-Duster Assault
Dehya performs up to 4 consecutive strikes with her Claymore and martial arts skills. Her charged attack is like any other Claymore user, performing continuous slashes at the cost of your stamina.
Elemental Skill: Molten Inferno
This art of Dehya’s own invention changes its method of use depending on the combat situation:
Indomitable Flame
If there is no Fiery Sanctum field generated by Dehya herself present at the time, this talent will be activated. It deals AoE Pyro DMG and builds the Fiery Sanctuary field.
Ranging Flame
If a Fiery Sanctuary field made by Dehya already exists, this talent will be activated.
Dehya will perform a leaping attack to her new location and deliver AoE Pyro DMG before re-creating a Fiery Sanctum field.
A Fiery Sanctum field generated in this manner will inherit the preceding field’s remaining duration. Do note that Ranging Flame may only be used once throughout the lifespan of a single Fiery Sanctuary field.
Fiery Sanctum
When an opponent within a Fiery Sanctum field absorbs DMG, the field will launch a coordinated assault, delivering AoE Pyro DMG dependent on Dehya’s ATK and Max HP, which may be activated once every 2.5s.
Active characters in this area have greater resistance to interruption, and when they receive DMG, a part of that damage is mitigated and flows into Redmane’s Blood. Dehya will then take this damage over 10s. When the mitigated damage stored by Redmane’s Blood reaches or exceeds a particular proportion of Dehya’s Max HP, she will stop mitigating DMG in this manner.
Only one Fiery Sanctuary created by Dehya herself may exist.
Elemental Burst: Leonine Bite
Dehya will automatically and continually release the Flame-Fists, Mane’s dealing Pyro DMG according to her ATK and Max HP, and when their time expires, she will unleash an Incineration Drive, dealing AoE Pyro DMG based on her ATK and Max HP.
Suppose a Fiery Sanctum field formed by Dehya’s Elemental Skill “Molten Inferno” exists when this ability is used. In that case, Dehya will collect it and then build another field after the time of Blazing Lioness expires. This field will inherit the duration of the retrieved field at the time of retrieval.
Dehya cannot cast her Elemental Skill or conduct Normal, Charged, or Plunging Attacks while in this state. “Roaring Barrage” will replace both the normal attack and elemental skill.
Unleashing “Roaring Barrage” within 0.4s of each Flame-Fist Mane’s strike accelerates the triggering of the following Flame-Fist Mane’s attack.
1st Ascension Passive: Unstinting Succor
Dehya will receive 60% less DMG while getting DMG from Redmane’s Blood within 6 seconds of retrieving the Fiery Sanctum field through Molten Inferno: Ranging Flame or Leonine Bite. This effect might be activated every 2 seconds.
Furthermore, within 9 seconds of unleashing Molten Inferno: Indomitable Flame, Dehya will award the Gold-Forged Form state to all party members. While a character is in the Fiery Sanctum field, this state increases their resilience to interruption even further. Gold-Forged Form can be used once every 18 seconds.
4th Ascension Passive: Stalwart and True
When her HP falls below 40%, Dehya will recover 20% of her maximum HP and restore 6% of her maximum HP every 2 seconds for the next 10 seconds. This effect can be activated once every 20 seconds.
Utility Passive: The Sunlit Way
Improves your own party members’ Movement SPD by 10% during the day (6:00 – 18:00). This effect does not apply in Domains, Trounce Domains, or Spiral Abyss. Passive Talents that deliver the same effects cannot be stacked.

Pros & Cons
Pros
- She’s a flexible character that can fit in roles and team compositions.
- She provides consistent off-field Pyro damage that can also be repositioned.
- She has a greater resistance to interruption and shares the received damage of characters inside her AoE
Cons
- Unfortunately, she delivers underwhelming damage output without constellations.
- She has minor HP scaling without constellations, forcing you to choose between a tank or DPS build.
- She produces low energy particles.
- The duration of her AoE does not refresh even after recasting through Elemental Skill and Burst.
- She is prone to HP reduction when used as a utility support. She also cannot fully replace a shielder in terms of damage mitigation.
Dehya Best Weapon
Beacon of the Reed Sea
- 5-star Claymore
- This is Dehya’s signature weapon, although many might say the color scheme does not match hers. The Beacon buffs Dehya’s ATK by 20% for 8s after her Elemental Skill hits an opponent. After taking damage, her ATK will also increase by 20% for 8s. What’s better is these two effects can be triggered even if Dehya isn’t on the field. Furthermore, Dehya’s Max HP will be increased by 32% if a shield does not protect her.
Wolf’s Gravestone
- 5-star Claymore
- Although this is marketed as Diluc’s weapon, WGS is generally good for any Claymore users. Not only will Dehya get a 20% boost in ATK, but attacks against foes with less than 30% Health will also enhance all party members’ ATK by 40% for 12s on hit.
Serpent Spine
- 4-star Claymore
- Although you can get this weapon only through the Battle Pass, it is a good choice since it provides additional CRIT Rate. Thanks to its passive, Dehya can experience a boost in DMG from all sources. However, if you take damage, you’ll lose a stack of its effects.
F2P Substitutes:
Favonius Greatsword
- 4-star Claymore
- This claymore can help with Dehya’s issues in producing energy particles. CRIT Hits have a 60% chance of generating Elemental Particles, which replenish 6 Energy for the character. This can only happen once every 12s.
Katsuragikiri Nagamasa
- 4-star Claymore
- Elemental Skill DMG is increased by 6%. When Elemental Skill hits an opponent, the character loses 3 Energy but regenerates 3 Energy every 2 seconds for the next 6 seconds. This phenomenon can occur once every 10s. Even if the character is not on the field, it can be activated.
Luxurious Sea-Lord
- 4-star Claymore
- This is a 2.1 event-exclusive 4-star Claymore that will give Dehya a 12% boost in Elemental Burst DMG. When Elemental Burst strikes an opponent, there is a 100% chance of summoning a massive onrush of tuna that deals 100% ATK as AoE DMG once every 15 seconds. Comical, but rather useful!
Best Artifacts
Tenacity of the Millelith
- If you want to maximize Dehya’s damage with her Elemental Burst, the optimal artifact set is Emblem of Severed Fate. It not only increases Elemental Burst DMG, but it also assists with her high Energy Recharge need.
Emblem of Severed Fate
- If you just want Dehya to be a Support for your squad, the Tenacity of the Millelith is her best option. The HP% it offers allows her tank to do more damage, while the 4pc. effect will allow her to provide the group ATK% bonuses.
Crimson Witch of Flames
- If you can guarantee that Dehya will be triggering Elemental Reactions, the Crimson Witch of Flames will be her best option. Nonetheless, your damage output is just somewhat higher than that of the Emblem of Severed Fate set.

Best Team Comp
Premium Team for Dehya
If Dehya has adequate support buffers, she may be utilized as a main DPS. Her damage multipliers are mediocre; therefore, she must surround herself with the appropriate team members.
Dehya can utilize EM% Main Stats instead of ATK% or HP% on Elemental Reaction teams if she consistently triggers Elemental Reactions.
When coupled with Nahida, this Dehya team combination concentrates on producing persistent scorching sensations. Ganyu can trigger Melt with her Charged Strikes as the adversary burns because of Dehya’s excellent stagger resistance.
If there is a double Hydro team competition, Dehya can work in a Vaporize team alongside Hu Tao. Dehya’s Elemental Skill activates slowly enough that it cannot overpower an enemy’s Water Aura.
When Hu Tao is on the field, Dehya can divert part of the damage to herself, and both characters can profit from the Double Hydro Resonance.
These team compositions revolve around allowing Dehya to create Dendro Cores in order for her to activate Burgeon while off-field. To avoid Burning, it is advised that two Hydro Characters (or an Anemo to swirl Hydro) be used to help the reaction.
Dehya is highly suggested for Burgeon teams to employ triple EM primary stats to increase Dendro Core damage.
Free-to-Play Friendly Team for Dehya
This free-to-play team comp for Dehya aims to deal as much Pyro DMG as possible. Sucrose enhances Pyro DMG when triggering Swirl by donning the Viridescent Venerer artifact set.
This is another free-to-play friendly team comp that enhances Dehya’s Pyro damage with the help of Collei and Xingqui’s skills, which create Blooms. Of course, Bennett is here since he’s one of the best, if not the best support character in the game. You’ll need his heals and ATK buffs whenever you can!
How to Use Dehya
Since Dehya is very flexible, she doesn’t have a “true” role on a team.
Dehya fails to play the job of on-field DPS properly unless she is provided with several boosts from characters such as Bennett and Kazuha. In this position, Dehya is equivalent to Klee in terms of damage output, albeit Klee lacks Dehya’s high 200% Energy Recharge need for operation. Numerous existing 4-star characters can do as much or more damage as Dehya.
Nevertheless, constellations on Dehya, which are more easily obtained by entering the normal pool of 5 stars, solve this problem.
Dehya ignores her whole kit as an off-field DPS, relying solely on her Skill for Pyro application to elicit Burgeon responses. This is comparable in terms of damage output if you stack nothing but Elemental Mastery on Dehya instead of the standard ATK%/DMG%/CRIT% construct.
Another issue is that Dehya’s Burst attacks do not synergize with powerful Pyro DPS supports in other elements such as Yelan, Xingqiu, and Beidou, limiting her possible use cases even further.
Finally, Dehya may be played exclusively as a devoted support, concentrating on her allies’ interruption resistance, damage mitigation, Pyro application, and bonuses from artifact sets or weapons. This is the cheapest investment choice and completely disregards her damage-dealing capabilities.
