Genshin-Impact_Ver5-0_Phase1730x382-HPBanner (1)If there’s a rating for Genshin Impact updates, Version 5.0 will undoubtedly be a 5-star patch with all the huge updates it brings to the game. From giving us a more F2P-friendly gacha system and jaw-dropping anniversary rewards to a massive map expansion in Natlan, you would think they’ll call it a day and save some good stuff for later patches. But no, HoYoverse made sure this is one to remember! Here are five more exciting features you need to watch out for in Genshin Impact Version 5.0.

World Level 9

Genshin Impact World Level 9

Experienced Travellers always look for new challenges to sharpen their swords. Whether fresh Spiral Abyss rotations or stronger bosses to take down, their thirst for strategizing and overcoming more significant trials is always there. So, when HoYoverse announced they’d add World Level 9, players rejoiced.

In Genshin Impact, the World Level determines how much Adventure Rank EXP and rewards Travellers get from domains and bosses. Raising your World Level also makes the monsters in the overworld tougher, making for more challenging battles. If you’re one of those Travellers with maxed-out teams making Weekly Bosses look like a cakewalk, you’ll love this new update. To raise the World Level to 9, Travellers must be at least Adventurer Rank 58.

Local Specialty tracking

Genshin Impact Local Specialties

Seeing that golden star fall and acquiring new characters is fun until you know the amount of materials you need to level them up. Gathering Local Specialties for your new character’s Ascension can be a chore, especially if you’re not the most avid explorer, as you’ll have to keep switching to the Teyvat Interactive Map to obtain every last bit available in your world.

In Version 5.0, you won’t have to do that anymore because you can now track these Local Specialties directly from your Inventory. Pick the material you need, click “Go to collect,” and let the foraging begin!

Stellar Reunion update

HoYoverse is also ramping up the Stellar Reunion rewards for returning Travellers, making 5.0 the perfect time to catch up with Paimon and Lumine/Aether after our little excursion with the Proxies of New Eridu last July. From 600 Primogems and some valuable character materials, Stellar Reunion now rewards you with 10 Intertwined Fates to add to your Natlan character pulls.

The missions you’ll do to unlock the Intertwined Fates are now more streamlined, making it easier and more enjoyable for Travellers to complete. Missions now include spending resin and completing the Natlan Archon Quest Act 1: Flowers Resplendent on the Sun-scorched Sojourn.

Battle Pass Rewards Plan

Genshin Impact Battle Pass Reward Plan

Several progression systems exist in Genshin Impact, each needing a specific material. Ores and crystals are used to level up weapons, while talent books are used to level up character talents. You can level up artifacts by feeding old ones to your desired ones or with Sanctifying Essence.

Naturally, Travellers will need more of a specific type of material depending on their goals. If you’ve bought the Gnostic Hymn Battle Pass before, chances are you have a lot of unused talent books in your inventory.

Starting Version 5.0, Travellers can change Battle Pass reward plans to fit their current needs better. You can now choose talent books from any region and decide to get more of either Mora, EXP books, Weapon EXP Materials, or Sanctifying Essence. Now, that’s money well spent!

Archon Quest quick start

Genshin Impact Natlan Quick Start

Natlan’s Archon Quest has the Quick Start feature that lets you play it even without visiting the previous regions.
