New Character: Ineffa

Genshin’s latest 5-star is a technological marvel from Nod-Krai. Also known as “Boom Boom Thunderwave,” Ineffa is a multifunctional robot constructed with mechanical parts from around Teyvat. Her Source Core has powered her through countless ages, and now, she’s rolling into your team as an Electro polearm user who blends utility and damage in a game-changing way.

Ineffa’s Elemental Skill deploys her Optical Flow Shield Barrier and calls forth “Birgitta,” a mechanical companion that continuously zaps enemies with Electro attacks. Her Burst amplifies the attacks by launching Birgitta forward in a sweeping AoE strike, while keeping her active on the field to dish out even more Electro damage. Most excitingly, Ineffa is the first character who can trigger the new Lunar-Charged Elemental Reaction: an Electro-Hydro synergy that unleashes a powerful storm of thunderclouds.

New Elemental Reaction: Lunar-Charged

When Hydro meets Electro through Moonshine Benediction (a new passive mechanic exclusive to Nod-Krai characters), this reaction creates a hovering thundercloud that relentlessly zaps nearby enemies affected by both elements. These lightning bursts deal Electro DMG that can crit, and what’s more, the damage scales based on all characters involved in the reaction, not just the last one to apply their element.

This opens the door for coordinated multi-character plays, especially with characters who can consistently apply Electro and Hydro. Ineffa leads the charge, providing both the shield and perfect setup to maximize the new reaction’s damage potential.

Alongside her in Phase 1 is fellow 5-star Citlali, who returns with her own powerful Cryo kit. The duo is joined by fan favorites Sethos, Xingqiu, and Fischl, forming limited-time banners until August 19, 2025.

New Weapon: Fractured Halo

Ineffa’s arrival is paired with a new 5-star polearm called Fractured Halo. At Refinement Rank 1, this weapon increases ATK by 24% for 20 seconds after using an Elemental Skill or Burst. If the wielder generates a shield while this effect is active, it will also grant the Electrifying Edict buff, allowing nearby party members to deal 40% more Lunar-Charged DMG for 20 seconds.

Besides being a flashy ATK stick, it’s tailored for Ineffa’s playstyle. Since her Skill naturally grants a shield, Fractured Halo lets her unlock Electrifying Edict easily, boosting teamwide Lunar-Charged damage. This synergizes perfectly with comps built around Electro-Hydro interactions, especially those involving Xingqiu or Fischl, turning Ineffa into the perfect enabler and support DPS hybrid.
