Proxies, ready for some fun? Zenless Zone Zero 2.2 has arrived, bringing a thunderstorm of fresh content. We’re talking the debut of Obol Squad’s mechanical prodigy Seed, the fiery duo Orphie & Captain Magus, plus reruns for fan-favorites Trigger and Evelyn Chevalier. Alongside them comes Seed’s signature W-Engine, a string of banger events, and rewards sweeter than a Reverb Arena beat drop. Let’s see what’s in store!
New Agents: Seed, Orphie & Magus
The highlight of 2.2 is the arrival of Seed, a mechanical genius from the Obol Squad. This S-Rank Electric Attack Agent fights with her custom mech “Seed Sr.” and specializes in explosive tag-team synergy. Her kit revolves around supporting the Vanguard (the squad’s main Attack Agent) and syncing her skills with them. When Seed’s Vanguard uses an EX Special Attack, she enters Onslaught mode, while Seed’s own EX Special Attack triggers Direct Strike mode. Stack the two, and they unlock Besiege, a devastating buff combo that amps up both their damage output.

Then there’s Orphie Magnusson & Magus, Obol Squad’s fiery captain-underling duo. This S-Rank Fire Attack unit isn’t just here to burn things down (though they do plenty of that). Their playstyle is centered on team-wide buffs and synergy. By building up Bottled Heat, Orphie & Magus can unleash a searing laser beam that grows stronger the longer it fires, while making them temporarily invulnerable. Even better, their Zeroed In state boosts the entire squad’s ATK, with added benefits if you’ve got Stun or Support Agents in your lineup.
And don’t forget: 2.2 also brings reruns for Trigger and Evelyn Chevalier. Phase 1 features Seed, Trigger, and A-Rank Agents Anby and Nicole Demara, while Phase 2 brings Orphie & Magus alongside Evelyn.

New W-Engine: Cordis Germina
Seed’s arrival wouldn’t be complete without her signature W-Engine, Cordis Germina. This sleek gear packs a punch with 713 Base ATK and a juicy 24% Crit Rate bonus as its advanced stat.
Its passive, Sprouting Core, makes it a dream pick for Electric Attack mains, as it stacks Electric DMG buffs for every Basic or EX Special Attack. At max stacks, Seed’s Basic and Ultimate attacks pierce through a portion of enemy DEF, making it the best tool for tearing down tanky bosses of high-DEF foes in the Hollows. Grabbing Cordis Germina from the W-Engine Channel is a no-brainer if you’re rolling for Seed.
